Life Transformation Groups

Join a Life Transformation Group!

Purpose (Lord willing):

To cultivate gospel centered relationships, where individuals (2-6 people) consistently meet to confess sin, practice repentance, share what God is teaching them, and pray for one another, as we grow in following the person and way of Jesus.

“Hear me when I say that it is not the methodology that transforms lives, it is only the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ applied to a needy soul by the Holy Spirit. This  methodology is only helpful in that it brings the desperate sinner into prolonged contact with God and His word in the context of community with others who are also pursuing the Lord.” (N Cole)

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will ofGod, what is good and acceptable and perfect"

- Romans 12:2

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

- Matthew 11:29

Items to consider PRIOR to committing to an LTG:

Determine WHO:

Prayerfully consider who God might be leading you to invite in this deep and meaningful relationship of LTG. Consider praying through individuals who are in your circles of life, share your season of life, or individuals you sense you can help or they can help you grow. Invite them to pray about meeting with you allowing the Spirit to lead and direct.

Define the TIME:

Suggest meeting for a defined prior of time together (6/9 months). Thereafter, prayerfully consider continuing to meet together for another defined time as you assess the health, availability, and other relationships that God may be leading you to invest in.

Define the INTENT:

Agree on the expectations of your time. Share the intentionality that you desire for your time when you meet. Consider the overarching GOAL of a LTG, to continue to be transformed into the person and way of Jesus.

Define the MEETING:

Suggest meeting at least two/three times a month. When? Where? How long will you meet each time?

Define the MEANS:

Earnestly and eagerly pray that God through His spirit would walk before you, be among you, and empower you to live a life of worship that looks more and more like Jesus!

Items to consider AS you meet as an LTG:

STARTING:

Spend the first part of your time together sharing your story giving testimony to what God has done and is doing in your life.

PURSUING:

Spend time praying and discussing  what areas of the spiritual life you want to pursue together. Here is a list of helpful resources to explore:

STRUCTURE:  Three overarching practices during TLG.

SPIRITUAL CHECK IN:

HEART:
How is your own relationship with Jesus? How is your time in the word? How is your time in prayer? Is there any sin that you need to confess?
HOME:
How are your personal relationships? Marriage? Parenting? Others? Are there relationships where reconciliation needs to be pursued?
HARVEST:
Who are individuals that you are pursuing for the sake of the gospel? What does that pursuit look like?

WHAT IS GOD TEACHING YOU:

SHARE:
Share what God is teaching you in your mutual study. Share how God is challenging you. Share how God is calling you toward transformation?
