Biblical Theology: The Blessed Life

Our final sermon in our Biblical Theology series looks at Matthew's theme of the blessed life.

We trace the theme of blessing, throughout the Old Testament, and it's combat with the curse of Sin, showing the Biblical worldview that blessing is relational and missional. Matthew then tells the story of God coming in the person of Jesus as the Christ and perfectly embodying the blessed life, living in perfect relationship with the Father and complete faithfulness to His mission. The end of Matthew declares that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, He has repaired our relationship to the Father and renewed our mission to bless the nations with the declaration of His gospel.
