INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS
Jeremy and Kylie
Pray for Discipleship in Erbil Baptist Church - that the church members would help one another live out the Christian life rightly. Pray for those who are called to exhort others that they would be faithful to the Lord in their exhortation. Pray for the school students and teachers and facility as they are finalizing preparation and then beginning the school year this month. Pray for a growing understanding of the implications of Christian living in that culture for the school and church as ministry and for the households/families that are in that community of believers. Pray for the new interns from RTIM (3 pastoral men, and 2 single women) joining the ministry.

Thank you for praying…the sermons went well and my travel turned out to be a huge blessing as I was able to connect with a number of mentors and folks from our org. I just dropped off 6 passports and a check for ~$4k to get us 10-year tourist visas for our target location. This will likely be what my wife and the boys will be on. I hope to transition to a residency visa, but may initially also enter on this visa or use it in the future. Please pray they get to their destination and back safely and there are no complications
Peter and Daisy
The summer was full. Peter & Daisy took 17 teenagers on 3 overnight camping trips. Because everyone needed a ride and they only have a van, many of the teens moms went also. There were many opportunities to share the love of Jesus with this group. Please pray the seeds will take root and grow. Many of these teens do not have a father in the home. The fathers have been taken by the authorities to re-educate them. This leaves a hole in the teens lives. Peter and Daisy are trying to help fill that hole with the love of Jesus. Also, please pray for them as the new semester is starting, that we can manage our time wisely. With Ellie and Dani’s homeschool, Peter’s university job and lots of class in the rec center to manage, their time is always full. Please pray that no matter how busy their life gets, they can always keep in mind that everything they do should be for His glory. Pray that as they plan and do things, they also seek for His guidance and seek for better and closer relationship with Him.

Thanks for your faithful prayers for us. God is at work. Keep praying for a just end to the war. Air raid alarms are almost constant now, and we hear explosions almost every day, but thankfully nothing too close. There is supposed to be a big missile attack coming, so pray that it won't happen, or that the missiles won't explode, which actually happened recently near our friend's apartment. Also, pray today for our neighbor Valentin. He called me this week, I think, in answer to your prayers. He said he really liked reading some material that I sent him about why God allows the war and other suffering. He wants to talk more. Pray for wisdom in our conversation. Pray for my speaking ability in Ukrainian. Pray for God to continue working in his heart. Thanks!

CROSSWAY ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION CHURCH PLANTS
Golden City Church, Matt and Cheryl. They are deeply grateful for God's work in guiding and empowering the launch of Golden City Church. They are excited for the way the He is leading in the ministry and the success in reaching out to students at the School of Mines. Please pray for their continuing outreach to the city of Golden and the students at Mines. Grateful that He has also brought another elder to join the team.
Skyline Church Denver, Adam and Joanie. They launched Skyline about 2 years ago and by God's favor helped to launched the Golden City Church! God is evidently at work, drawing people together in ways they can’t take credit for, and it is so fun to see how it all comes together for His glory!
Christ Church of Elizabeth, James and Kait. The first year of Christ Church has been a wonderful one. They are a church in the smalltown of Elizabeth, Colorado and are seeing God do some encouraging things. Matters to pray for: new job for Hugh (our other pastor) that allows him to pastor, evangelism and conversion growth, God's provision of a worship pastor, wisdom to equip saints for work of ministry, the formation of true community at CCE, and two men currently in training to be elders; pray for effective preparation of them and their wives for this role.
Crossway San Diego, Tom and Dawn are moving on from attempting to plant in San Diego. Please pray for clarity and direction as they are now planning to relocate in the southern US or in central Mexico. Pray that this change would bring God greater and greater glory as they seek to connect, to win, build, and send young leaders into the harvest in the southern US or in Latin America.
Crossway Boulder, Calder and Amanda. Pray for Calder and the Boulder team as they continue the ministry of Boulder City Church. Praise our gracious Father who empowered the launch of the church last Sunday. Praise God for the laborers that have joined with them in the harvest and way they have family units across the city. Pray for salvations as they labor there, and also for God's protection of families and faith as the serve in a very challenging field.
Union Chapel Pueblo, Beck and Lindsey. We are not doing this alone. The Easton's have not moved to Pueblo to plant alone... We come with a large (sometimes crazy) group of devoted Christians who have sold their homes, quit their jobs and made the jump with us. So much of a church plant can be focused on the pastor or the leader but we want to be a people who follow a biblical model of plurality. Not only in our leadership structure but also in our culture. What is Plurality The New Testament consistently presents local churches as being led by a group of qualified men entrusted with the responsibility to oversee and shepherd the congregation, teach and admonish its members, and guide the church’s practical life and ministry (Acts 14:23; 15:4–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1-3; 1 Timothy 3:1–7). The office of elder carries both great honor and serious responsibility (1 Timothy 5:17; James 3:1) and should not be entered into lightly.
Plural eldership is not only a biblical pattern but also a wise and practical safeguard. Because of our fallen nature, anyone in a position of authority can be tempted to pursue personal gain, influence, or status, or to hide personal shortcomings and failures. Christians are not immune to these temptations. When faithful men shepherd a church together, they can encourage, challenge, and hold one another accountable. This shared leadership helps guard the church and its leaders from the dangers of unchecked authority. As Proverbs says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). But this is also true of the "one another's" of scriptures. The responsibility and the ultimate authority fall on the congregation as a whole for the church. In other words, every member of the church has a part to play just like you need every part of the body (Ephesians 4:11-16). Please pray that God would raise up and equip one or more qualified men to serve faithfully as elders.

Christian Challenge - Isaac and Becca
Key August Prayer Requests
- We attended a national conference august 2-6 in Oklahoma. We are brought 10 students, 8 staff, and our boys also went! Becca cooked for everyone. This conference was a great way to start the year particularly for staff and student leaders who were equipped to see the campus as God sees the campus.
- Aug 13-15 is our student leader retreat. This is the most crucial thing we do with our leaders to prepare them for reaching all the freshmen coming. Pray for them to catch the vision and for protection from distractions from the enemy.
- Aug 19th is move-in day and from that day on we will spend about 2 weeks trying to reach as many of them as we can. Pray for quick and deep connections through all we do.
- Aug 25th is our first bible study. Pray for students to come and for the gospel to be heard, understood, and received by those who do not follow Jesus yet.
Serve 6-8
Thank you for your donation to SERVE 6.8! Your contribution will help provide food,
clothing, rent assistance, hot meals during disaster response, and supplies of all kinds to
families in crisis. With your help, and the help of our network of 70 churches, hundreds of
businesses, and thousands of volunteers, we are making a difference in the lives of people
across Colorado and Wyoming. Over the past month, your generosity allowed us to provide 1,172 families with: 12,495 pounds of food (approximately $24,2616 in value); $25,850 in clothing; and $13,836 in financial assistance. Thank you for being part of the SERVE 6.8 movement and caring for your neighbor!

Please pray for the RC clients facing pregnancy decisions and for the RC nurses and advocates as they engage with clients. Praise our gracious for their continuing ministry of protecting and valuing life our area.
